A forgotten stretch of sand hidden behind wooded ravines, and balmy summer nights serve as the framework for a group of restless students looking for a place to party, and a place to be free; and they found one. These experiences also serve as the inspiration for my songwriting and the beginnings of a career in music. With the help of longtime friends, Andy Hush and Mike Schmidt, some of these songs were fleshed out and several were professionally recorded and released. Our efforts have garnered critical acclaim and they are available for you here now!
 

This website focuses on our first recording project. Feel free to browse around and enjoy the music. In the coming months you will see the growth and restructuring of Secret Beach, including new music. This evolution is something I have been working on extensively and I am very enthusiastic about it. This time around, I will be playing guitar and providing vocals for the tracks. I have already begun work on a new CD and will post selections from it on this site in MP3 and RealAudio formats.  Secret Beach was named for a hidden cove on Lake Michigan that band members discovered by accident and occasionally visit during the quiet hours of the night. Getting to the shore requires walking in total darkness through a wooded park and down the slope of a ravine. Once on the beach, you are enveloped by the sound of rolling waves, the warmth of a crackling bonfire, and the company of good friends. Here, you can truly relax, and enjoy the grandeur of the lake and the intimacy of the sheltered surroundings.  The original lineup of Secret Beach has since run its course. However, I have been consumed with this project. I have used my energy to hone my craft: writing songs, performing and creating -all to the exclusion of most other pursuits. This site is an extension of my passion for creating, and is another step in the natural progression of Secret Beach. I hope that you enjoy it and visit it often.
